A couple of days ago, we learned that Facebook allegedly shared data with more than 150 companies (among them–Microsoft, Amazon, Spotify), giving them far greater and more intrusive access to user’s data (including private messages) than it had previously disclosed. This revelation, per an extensive New York Times investigation, is just the latest in a string of bad news for Facebook. Scandal after scandal, and continued violations of trust despite presumably (?) understanding the consequences has the stock tanking and NoPo thinking…maybe it’s time for Zuckerberg (and maybe Sandberg, too) to step down from Facebook’s board of directors? At the very least, time to Unfriend?
