A study of nearly half a million people reveals some less-than-refreshing news about soda. It’s all bad, Todd – both the sugary stuff, and the sugar-free…so maybe it’s time to quit, like, now? The study, published a couple of days ago by the Journal of the American Medical Association, shows that high consumption (as in 2 or more/day) of sugar-sweetened soft drinks is associated w/digestive disease deaths; high consumption of sugar-free versions is associated w/deaths from circulatory diseases, including coronary artery disease.
